This picture contains the Tri-Valley School students that created this virtual tour of Savage River. The making of the tour involved traveling to Denali National Park and photographing the river, as well as taking precise measurements of the flow rate and depth. Everyone contributed to different parts of the website. Quincy made the food web and described its correlation to the animal population in the park. Steel, Martin, and B.J. researched the geological history and topography of the area. Nadya and Breanna worked on researching the river and calculating the flow rate. The school is located in the heart of interior Alaska, in a small town called Healy, Alaska. At winter the temperatures can dip below -50°F. In the summer the average temperature is around 70 to 80°F. The interior of Alaska can best be described as a wild and untamed wilderness full of exotic creatures and wonderful people. It's a great place to visit and a great place to live.
